中國文學史為中文系重要必修課程之一，也是認識中國文學發展的重要路徑。本課程共分為上、下兩學期，上學期研讀的歷史斷限從先秦至魏晉南北朝，下學期則始於唐代文學，迄於宋代文學，期望透過文學發展流變之說明與作品賞析，使修課同學得以一窺中國文學博美精深之堂奧。
在期中、期末考之外，為增進同學對歷朝作品之認識，本課程將著重同學於課前原典翻閱的工作，如此當可與課本所學相互印證連結，從而熟悉文學作品之概況，並培養蒐檢文獻的基本能力。
The history of Chinese literature is one of the important required courses in the Chinese Department, and it is also an important way to understand the development of Chinese literature. This course is divided into two semesters. The first semester covers the historical period from Pre-Qin to the Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties. The second semester begins with the literature of the Tang Dynasty and ends with the literature of the Song Dynasty. It is hoped that through the explanation of the development and evolution of literature and the appreciation of works, This enables students taking the course to have a glimpse of the beauty and profoundness of Chinese literature.
In addition to the midterm and final exams, in order to enhance students' understanding of works from the past dynasties, this course will focus on students reading original texts before class. This can be mutually corroborated and connected with what they have learned in the textbooks, so that they can become familiar with the overview of literary works and cultivate Basic ability to search documents.
