宋代被歷史學家視為是中華文化最璀璨輝煌的時代，而宋詩在此背景下也形塑出足與唐詩相提並論的風格精神。相對於唐詩，宋詩具有更濃厚的人文精神與更廣闊的知識背景，代表當時士大夫與禪宗、儒家、道家的多元對話。相較於唐詩的燃燒精神，宋詩更為沉潛、內斂，宋代詩人看待生命、觀照自然、書寫自我的角度也與感性多情的唐人有所不同，而顯得更為深邃複雜，曲折而多變。上述宋詩特色，本課程將透過兩宋名家詩與特定主題的選讀，進行詮釋說明。The Song Dynasty is regarded by historians as the most brilliant and glorious era of Chinese culture, and Song poetry also developed a style and spirit comparable to that of Tang poetry in this context. Compared with Tang poetry, Song poetry has a stronger humanistic spirit and a broader intellectual background, and represents the diverse dialogue between scholar-bureaucrats and Zen, Confucianism, and Taoism at that time. Compared with the burning spirit of Tang poetry, Song poetry is more deep and restrained. The poets of the Song Dynasty looked at life, observed nature, and wrote about themselves from a different angle than the sentimental Tang people, and appeared to be more profound, complex, tortuous and changeable. This course will explain the above-mentioned characteristics of Song poetry through selected readings of poems by famous writers of the two Song Dynasties and specific themes.
