In the twentieth century, analytic philosophy was the mainstream of British and American philosophy, and almost all of its important theories were related to the philosophy of language. This course introduces important philosophers and schools in analytic philosophy, including Russell, Wittgenstein, the Vienna Circle, Quine, American Pragmatism, Oxford Ordinary Language Philosophy, and Davidson, as well as their theories.
