如 M. J. Cain 所言,「認知科學的哲學是哲學的分支,討論對於認知的科學研究所產生的哲學問題」 (the philosophy of cognitive science is that branch of philosophy that addresses philosophical questions generated by the scientific study of cognition) (2016: ch.1 sec.1)。 As M. J. Cain said, "The philosophy of cognitive science is that branch of philosophy that addresses philosophical questions generated by the scientific study of cognition" ) (2016: ch.1 sec.1). This course is an introduction to the philosophy of cognitive science. Students who are willing to choose courses should note that the current course plans are still subject to change, so students must attend the first class to accurately grasp the specific course content. According to current planning, this course is divided into two parts. The first part discusses some concepts that are central to the philosophy of cognitive science, such as function and mechanism. On this basis, the second part of the course will conduct philosophical reflections on various mental phenomena explored by cognitive science. The mental phenomena we will discuss include mental illness, concepts, language, perception, attention, and more.
