The purpose of this course is to integrate and discuss what students have learned in courses related to "Benevolence and Obligation." Course conduct method: Under the guidance of the instructor, relevant normative theories and issues will be discussed, and group and specific topic discussions will be conducted. Specifically, from the perspective of global development ethics, because poverty, worsening inequality, violence, environmental crises and tyranny continue to ravage the entire world, these difficult problems trigger our comprehensive reflection on goodness and obligation. Development ethics emphasizes the importance of human agency in the pursuit of good and obligations. The focus is that people should not be dominated by environment and contingency. In addition to basic survival needs, human goodness should include leisure, emotion and spiritual aspects. of satisfaction. To what extent is there an obligation to provide social safety nets without neglecting individual agency and personal responsibility? This means that people have the freedom to pursue their own good (life planning). People must be given basic, equivalent and corresponding abilities to carry out these pursuits. How to understand these abilities and related obligations will be discussed in the course.
