當代法國哲學家、社會哲學家布西亞(Jean Baudrillard)《消費社會》("La Societe de consommation", 1970)是一本預言式著作,預示當今符號化消費社會與AI社會的來臨。
本課程以期中考為界,分為理論和理論應用2大部分。理論部分又分為方法和消費與價值等理論。方法上,以布希亞的後結構主義、現象學、價值理論、符號理論、擬像(Simulation)理論和交換理論為主。理論之應用,則以前述方法來探討物、物的形式、功用化、符號化及其作為消費的物品等問題,以及大眾媒體(尤其是廣告)與消費神話,符碼化問題,「我」的消費與被消費,身體作為消費品,時間作為消費品等領域之消費現象。Contemporary French philosopher and social philosopher Jean Baudrillard's "La Societe de consommation" (1970) is a prophetic book that foreshadows the advent of today's symbolic consumer society and AI society.
This course is divided into two parts, theory and theoretical application, based on the mid-term exam. The theoretical part is divided into methods and theories of consumption and value. In terms of methodology, Busia’s poststructuralism, phenomenology, value theory, semiotic theory, simulation theory and exchange theory are the main ones. The application of theory uses the above-mentioned methods to explore issues such as the form, functionality, symbolization of objects and their use as objects for consumption, as well as mass media (especially advertising) and consumption myths, coded issues, "I" Consumption phenomena in the fields of consuming and being consumed, the body as a consumer product, and time as a consumer product.
