公共藝術創作學程並不是要培養藝術家，或公共藝術的創作者，而是透過公共藝術創作過程，帶領同學們認識各種媒材，增進對日常生活中各種元素的理解，進而推進到實務的應用。課堂上老師會準備大量的圖片，將圖像語言與文化創意產業融入課程，一方面提昇美學的鑑賞能力，同時也將公共藝創作多元的表現，為同學在職場就業準備中奠定厚實的博雅基礎。課程中除了讓同學試著撰寫一份公共藝術設置計畫書，也分別就1.「馬賽克」在公共藝術黏貼表現與製作實務。2.青銅材質在公共藝術表現與製作過程。3.不鏽鋼材質在公共藝術表現與製作實務。4.FRP材質在公共藝術表現與製作實務。5.石材在公共藝術表現與製作實務。6.壁畫彩繪在公共藝術表現，與色彩學中關於彩度、明度、互補色、二次色、三次色、莫蘭迪色系、高級灰等色做實務介紹。7.鐵雕寒耐候鋼材質在公共藝術表現與製作實務。8.GRC材質在公共藝術表現與製作實務。9.木竹材質在公共藝術表現與製作實務。10.3D列印與多媒體在公共藝術應用製作實務。11.公共藝術在街道家具設計實務。12.複合媒材(其他媒材)在公共藝術的應用。13.公共藝術民眾參與互動設計的擬定等類別，有系統做深入淺出的介紹，跨域整合橫向連結，培養具有宏觀多元視野未來在等待的人才。
