本課程主旨在講授戲劇治療的基礎理論、操作技術、核心歷程、實施媒材、特殊族群的工作應用與案例研討等，並配合戲劇媒材活動進行實務操作演練，包括肢體、故事、偶類、角色、面具等；以及引導學生運用自身生命故事進行自傳劇創作及展演；此外引導學生設計戲劇治療教案，並在課堂上操作演練，最後撰寫期末書面報告統整學習歷程。
