惡常被看做是善的對立面，但所謂的善與惡指的是什麼呢？惡是否真的存在？一般而言，惡被分成物理的惡、道德的惡以及形上的惡，二十世紀納粹所犯下的罪刑，更使得惡成為一個哲學上所必須進一步處理的概念。本課程主要針對近代哲學以後有關惡的重要哲學理論進行探討。Evil is often seen as the opposite of good, but what do we mean by good and evil? Does evil really exist? Generally speaking, evil is divided into physical evil, moral evil and metaphysical evil. The crimes and punishments committed by the Nazis in the twentieth century have made evil a concept that must be further dealt with philosophically. This course mainly discusses important philosophical theories about evil since modern philosophy.
